Maintenance Tool Icons
Help ID: fleet.grid.icon.maintenance
Definition {#definition}
Maintenance tool icons appear in the Servers grid decorator column when Minion Enterprise has repository data for backup, integrity-check, index-maintenance, or third-party maintenance tooling on that server.
Hover the maintenance icon group to open the maintenance notes popup. Hover a specific icon and press F1 to open this page at that icon's definition.
The icons are compact on purpose: the grid shows the signal first, then the popup carries the operational detail.
Related DB objects: dbo.ServersExt, dbo.ServersExtTooltipNote.
Icon Meanings {#icon-meanings}
Grid Behavior {#grid-behavior}
- One server row can show several maintenance categories, but each category appears in a stable position so missing data is easy to spot.
- Minion Backup, Minion CheckDB, and Minion Reindex are shown as one combined Minion icon. Purple, red, and green sections light independently based on which modules were found.
- Third-party and generic maintenance icons appear only when they are the best available maintenance signal for that row.
- Hovering the icon group opens the maintenance notes popup for that server.
- The popup can include formatted notes, links, owners, escalation steps, and other DBA handoff details.
- Use Add / edit maintenance note... in the popup to maintain notes tied to the server, tool, and action.
Walkthrough {#walkthrough}
- Open the Servers grid.
- Find the decorator column to the left of the Status column.
- Look for maintenance icons on the server row.
- Hover the icon group to read the maintenance notes for that server.
- Hover a specific icon and press
F1if you need to identify it. - Use Add / edit maintenance note... when the notes need an owner, link, warning, or handoff detail.
When no maintenance icon appears, the grid has no maintenance decorator to show for that server in the current data set.
