Server Detail

The Server Detail panel opens from server-name links in the Fleet grid, Alerts, Find, and AG replica rows. It contains tabs/pills for Databases, Drive Space, Logins, SysAdmins, Jobs, Shares, Mail Profiles, WaitStats, Config, App Roles, and Alerts.

Walkthrough

Click a server name in the Fleet Grid.
Read the header for server identity, SLA, environment, version, status, and drive total.
Use Edit to change the server record.
Use DB props to open the database property deployment flow.
Pick a tab/pill to inspect a collected surface for the server.
For database-level tabs, use the database filter and the as-of picker to inspect current or historical collections.

Databases

The Databases tab shows the collected database inventory for the selected server. It includes database state, recovery model, compatibility level, AG role and AG name, database owner, space indicators, backup/checkDB signals, and any note/window icons tied to that database.

The as-of picker lets you view historical collection snapshots where the data source supports current/previous collection views. When an older collection is selected, the tab shows the historical snapshot instead of live current data.

Database Decorator Icons {#database-decorator-icons}

The first icon column on the Databases tab uses the same left-to-right idea as the Servers grid: each icon category keeps a stable position, and inactive categories stay gray so missing context is easy to spot.

Icon category	Active state	Inactive state	What it means
Notes	Yellow notepad	Gray notepad	Database-level notes exist for that database. Hover to read them, or use the popup action to add or edit notes.
Operational window	Blue clock/window	Gray clock/window	Database-level operational-window rows exist. These can describe maintenance windows, active business hours, blackout windows, or collection/alert halt windows.
App / role	Blue app screen	Gray app screen	The database has an application or role assignment. This is useful on mixed-use SQL Servers where one instance hosts databases for several teams or apps.
Availability Group	Colored AG topology	Hidden for non-AG DBs	The database is participating in an Availability Group. Hover shows the AG name, local role, and sync health.

Database AG Icon {#database-ag-icon}

The database AG icon is intentionally smaller than the server-level AG icon because it answers a narrower question: "Is this database in an AG here, and what is this instance's local role?"

The line color identifies the AG. Different AG names receive different line colors so mixed AG membership is easier to scan.
The top dot lights when this local instance is primary for the database.
The lower dots light when this local instance is secondary for the database.
Dot color follows the grid health language: green for OK, yellow for warning, red for critical, and gray when state is missing or not useful.
Hover text shows AG: <name> - <role> - <health>.

Use the AG name column next to the icon when you need the full AG name visible while sorting, filtering, exporting, or comparing databases.

Drive Space

Drive Space can be viewed as a grid or a graph. The grid is best for exact drive-level numbers; graph mode is better for trend reading and capacity triage.

Actions

Edit opens the server edit dialog.
DB props opens a deployment dialog for database property/file changes.
Drive Space can switch between grid and graph views.
